Hi Vivek, there are many ways of becoming an automotive engineer.
Any person with Engineering degree/Diploma can become an automotive engineer with a strong base in Science and Mathematics.
As you are pursuing graduation in Engineering you can further opt for M.E./M.Tech in Automobile engineering colleges which are spread all over India. There are even short/long term courses available.
And along with it, there are different levels concerned like designing, development or manufacturing with automotive. So, it depends on you where do you want to fit in.
