Please remember every IIM has its own cut off for admission, however with 99 percentile you have a good chance in making into IIMs.
However please remember besides the overall percentile, you also need to clear the sectional cut-offs for making in to top IIMs.
Please note that, the final selection in MBA or PGDM program is made on the basis of:
1. Education background of the students.
2. Score in CAT.
3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview.
4. Work experience if any.
Please remember you have good academic record, now you need to concentrate on preparing for CAT test, so that you have score good and get admission in IIMs.
Regarding preparation of CAT test, I would suggest you to join some good coaching institute in your city which offers quality coaching for CAT test.

*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early

Yes, you may surely pursue MBA, if you have never studied accounts, please remember in order to pursue MBA, you need to be graduate in any field.
MBA students are from variety of educational backgrounds like:
- B.Tech.
- BE.
- BCA.
- Bsc.
- BA.
- B.com.
- BHM.
- BMM, etc.
During MBA first year curriculum you have to study accounts, which you may easily understand.
So, do not worry, if if you are interested in pursuing MBA, your emphasis should be more on getting good marks in various management entrance tests so that you may get admission in good B-school of your choice.
Please remember in order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.

With regard to your query, the MBA-GIMS program runs for four semesters. The first semester is at PSG, the others at Hof University, The fourth semester is an Internship semester where students are attached to companies. The experience with the first batch is that all the qualified students have paid intership so far at companies in Germany. The Hof university supports students in identifying companies and also encourages students to apply to companies under the guidance of professors. It is likely that most of the companies may recruit the interns on the basis of their performance.
In addition students have an opportunity to do a short term summer internship for 4-6 weeks just after the second semester. All our first batch of students did this either at Germany or in India at a German company.
1. So, there is no concept of sitting for placements, as they are already interns at some companies and they are most likely to be absorbed there. Else, they need to find a job for themselves.
2. All the students are doing internship at German companies.
