Hello Utkarsh,
It is difficult to get a top ranking college unless your caste is SC, ST or MBC. As there are reservations based on caste, your chances vary based on this. If you belong to OC, or BC, then you may get an average college only.

Hello dear,
I'd advise you to start from NCERT books. Read NCERT textbooks thoroughly. Do the practice questions, exemplar questions. You should know them inside out. If you are from CBSE board, this will also help you in your boards. Even if you are not from CBSE board, itll help your board preparation because most of the syllabus would be a repetition. There might be only few extra things which you need to study. Maybe different experiments and all. Now for a score 250+ in Mains, once you finish NCERT books you should practice questions. A diploma holder can join B.Tech course (regular or distance) by D2D process after completing Diploma in Engineering. B.Tech program allows Diploma students to take entry directly into second year of engineering course.
For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.

You can get admission only if you have done your Diploma. Else, you have to start from first year you can't get admission in direct second year.

Hello Zayn,There is no M.Sc course in NIFT and the seats in Delhi are occupied very fast. So, I don’t think there are any chances, if you belong to general category. You can check the available seats on http://nift.ac.in.
