The telephonic round is usually the first elimination round and is very basic in nature. Through this, the recruiter judges the confidence, communication skills and your thought processes. The requirements are different for different universities. A good Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject plus a valid IELTS score is required. Recommended score in IELTS is usually 6.5. Please check the link provided above and check the university specific details.

You need to appear for NCHM JEE in order to get any of the central government institutes i.e IHMs. After the exams in one or one and a half months, the results will be introduced and you will have to appear in the counselling. There will be three rounds of counselling namely 1st, 2nd and the spot round. You will be allotted a seat on the basis of your rank and your locked choices. In mid-July, the courses will start in every government and NCHMCT affiliated Institutes (this year it's starting from 18th of July).
