Hi,
The important thing which would concern various IT companies when they visit for placements would be how well you are with your fundamentals. By fundamentals, the needle is pointed towards your current BCA course. How much you had scored in your previous classes would be of less concern compared to what you are currently doing. You should focus hard on your current course, try to learn extra languages if possible with additional supplements of certified company courses.

Don't go there. Do not waste your time and money at this university (actually not fit to be called a university, but unfortunately it has been given that status).
Bad quality of education.
Useless teachers (Trust me when I say this, the teachers are completely incompetent. Some of them rarely come to class and even if they came they were clueless and didn't even know the syllabus, some of them said that they were teaching outside their own specialty/area of expertise (management's fault), but this does not mean that the students must suffer. There are a few (3-4) experienced teachers but they only taught in higher semesters usually 6&7 s

Hi Sanjay K,
There is no one single factor apparently. Besides meeting the general admission requirements like submission of TOEFL scores, essays, etc. you must demonstrate a high caliber profile. Columbia university is not easy to crack, you must display an all-rounded profile like excellent academic grades, very good communication skills, internship, project work related to journalism, voluntary work, achievements etc. Basically, you must convince the university why you want to pursue journalism and why they should admit you. Scholarships are based on merit. The better your profile is the chances are there. So the best way is to devel

Hello Priya
Interior Designing is a very good field for creative and planned people, there's a great scope in India and worldwide. Also, if you're dedicated to your passion and earn good credits while pursuing your degree, you'll get a lot of opportunities to work and get trained under some good construction companies and interior designers. Today we SEE a lot of builders creating societies and investing in real estate for people looking for a well-designed house for their living and lots of commercial places where design and ambiance matters a lot. So, of course, it worth investing your time and efforts if you're really interested and

Internships are pretty tight situations in an institute. Usually Goldman Sachs, Directi, Qualcomm visit with internship offers. Usually, students use their network, colleges' network to get internships in various fields. For permanent jobs, over 70 companies visit the campus. Placements take place from July in the final year until the end. Firms like TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, ZS Associates, Oracle, Samsung, etc. visit campus and recruit in heavy numbers from Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, IT and in small numbers from other fields. Jobs in fields such as Civil, Mechanical are little difficult and depend mostly on the market

I can tell you what happened in 2016.The closing rank for the 3rd-round of counseling for CSE was 195. The 4th-round or open counseling was around 250 I guess. Last year, the mathematics paper was a bit different from the previous years' WBJEE papers. You yourself will see it because by now you would've gone through the previous years' papers. My assessment was that the paper was full of questions of previous years' IITJEE. So, if you have IITJEE level preparation, you can surely score high. My score was around 100-110 for the sum total of all the 3 papers and got a rank of 765. So, prepare well and you might end up in JU.

If you have completed your Master's degree, you should try for NET and do Ph.D for lectureship in colleges. It will be a better option. But still, if you wish to be a school teacher, you can either do a Ph.D or a B.Ed. Both are acceptable.

That depends on your calibre and interest for the particular subject. Especially, only you can decide the stream whether it's commerce or science. Both the streams have a good scope.

At that time, you just focus on your 10th board and after clearing your board just focus on NCERT books. You can choose some other books if you want to for IIT but the main focus should be on the NCERTs.
