Lateral entries are permitted only in colleges which have a tie-up with other institutes. Students with a good academic record are more likely to have their transfer approved by the admission department of their college. So, the first thing you must do is check with the admissions department of your college whether the lateral transfer is permitted in the 2nd year of your course of study. If you have a good CGPA in your 1st and 2nd year, the transfer may be granted on basis of your marks. Another criterion you must check for is whether there is a seat available in the target institute. Block a seat in the institute before you give up your seat in the current college. Good luck!

B.Sc. Chemistry Eligibility:
Interested aspirants for the course need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
10+2 completed from a recognized educational board.
Chemistry as one of the main subjects at 10+2 level.
B.Sc chemistry: Admission Process:
Admission to B.Sc chemistry is generally merit based. Colleges which follow merit-based admission process, generally release a cut off percentage for admission to the program. The admission forms are available in the month of May/June after the results for 10+2 are declared. Universities like University of Delhi release a central cut off list for affiliated colleges. Students who fulfill the cut-off criteria are then granted admission in the respective colleges.
The forms for entrance examinations are also available in the months of May and June and the exam is ideally conducted in the month of June. The entrance test is of 2-3 hours duration and contains objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Students are assessed on the basis of their performance in the entrance test and marks scored in 10+2 examination.
