Hi Ajay. Students of Finance will be getting placement in finance position only. They will not be allowed to take part in HR &Marketing jobs. Yes companies specialize in HR and Marketing do offer good post of finance for their company. The average package is of finance batch is 6,00,000. COmpanies like Deloitte, Dhara shaw, bank of Baroda, birla sun life, L&T finance etc do visited the campus this year.

Is this in response to your previous question of b.s. and engineering?
If yes, both b.sc and engineering are two different fields And both have their own Importance. If you want an industrial or corporate job you can opt for engineering and if you are interested in study of pure science and want more of an academic job, go for b.sc. although sometimes b.sc can also get you into industrial job.

Engineering and b.sc are both science fields. It depends on where your interest lies. While b.sc is pure basic science, engineering is more of a technical study. So if you're interested to do indepth study of a particular field of science, you can choose b.s. in that particular field like chemistr, physics etc. But if you want to study technology and practical and industrial application of science, choose engineering. Both have equally good opportunities career wise. In b.s. it is more academic and in engineering it is more industry specific.

Hi Siddharth, Yes you are eligible to sit during the counselling and eligible for apply. Alliance ask for 60% in MAT but if you don't have above 60% then Alliance conducts Alliance mat(amat) on the PI date, In AMAT there will be a written exam followed by extempore and then PI. In Extempore they will give you a topic with preparation time 3 minutes and after then you have to give a speech for 5-7 minutes in-front of students and the interview panel. Unfortunately SPJIMR does not accept MAT as a qualifying score. You can apply through the scores of either CAT or XAT or GMAT.

Both BBA as well as B.Com lead to MBA. However, while B.Com can lead to a wide array of post graduate specialisations whereas BBA degree on the other hand, can only lead to MBA. But this does not mean that one should only go for B.Com and not BBA. Pursuing BBA from reputed universities like Christ, DU, UPES, UTM, etc. can lead to you very promising career. Smart people take an aptitude test while in school, gather information about both the courses, plan their career path, and then take the decision confidently.

The advert was out on national dailies and online educational forums. Post which, a shortlist will be prepared based on your performance in CAT followed by subsequent rounds of admission - extempore speech and Personal Interview. Based on the aggregate score, the final admission list will be prepared.
