Admission shall be made in B.Tech Normal Entry on the basis of merit in AIEEE 2012, and Merit in qualifying examination in the same order for seats remaining vacant; in M.Tech on the basis of merit in GATE, and Merit in qualifying examination in the same order for seats remaining vacant; in MBA on the basis of consolidated merit on 100 point scale with 10% Weightage of qualifying examination, 35% Weightage of entrance test, 10% Weightage of GD, 10% Weightage of interview, 5% Weightage in Work Experience /Post Graduation, 10% Behaviour Skills, 10% Weightage in X and10% Weightage in XII; in all other courses on the basis of merit in MR-NAT 2012 and merit in qualifying examination for seats remaining vacant. Well Mass Comm and wedding planner/Event Management are two totally different domains and need different approach.
Mass Comm is a very demanding and challenging course and has a lot to offer like Journalism, advertising, PR etc. and offers a good career scope in its various domains. As it will be difficult to explain all the domains, I would request you to go through the below article to get an overview.

As for Event Management, I would like to say Event management field requires a lot of creativity and innovation. In Event management one has to really think of creative and innovative ideas for making an event successful. Thus making the Event management field more interesting and challenging.
