First u tell me r u looking for DBA line or Development line? If u r planning for development then u must be developing Network application not a stand alone right? For that u must be having sound knowledge of LAN & WAN and for setting up of LAN, WAN and Database u must have sound knowledge of Operating System. Because after setting LAN, WAN and Database then only u can deploy ur application for the running stage. So if u choose RHCSA+RHCE+CCNA+DBA will be a good combination for ur career growth.

Hi,
The eligibility criteria for Ph.D varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline. However the cut off percentages vary. Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require atleast two Research Publications for the Ph.D programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
Good Luck.
