See, the core branches like the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical are evergreen. You might have heard this word evergreen before also! This is a reality my friend. The Civil Engg. which you have particularly mentioned is an evergreen field and the scope of it is unlimited. Also, in Civil, you do not have competition with other branches as is the case with electronics and computers.

RAS just like IAS can be taken in your regional language so, you can go ahead and appear for RAS Examination. As far as the scope of the option chosen is concerned, it would largely depend on your own interests and career aspirations.
