University of Birmingham is a major centre for materials science engineering however these are some top universities where you can try the same program :- University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, University of Manchester , Imperial College London, University of Liverpool etc.
Graduates from this course will enter industries such as plastics, ceramics, metallurgy, and ceramics; undertaking tasks of developing new materials and products. Materials engineering is a very wide area, and prospects are good within this branch of engineering, with an increasing number of opportunities, and jobs are quite widely available .In UK after completing masters you are allowed to work for 2 years as per the new rule .
