Find out what exactly you are not able to figure out in your subjects due to which you are not able to clear them. Take the help of some coaching classes or some personsl tutor for this. Give some mock tests. Refer to old question papers, solve them and get them checked by some Teacher / Tutor. Try to study objectively from the point of view of clearing the exam. Don't concentrate on getting high marks. Target 50% to55% marks and then plan your studies. Have confidence & faith in your abilities.

Your scores are good and hence gaining admission should not be a problem. Engr Mgt is a degree that leads to a career in managing engineering divisions or programs. Is that what you want to do? That is the key question.

Hi Rajesh,
As GATE is an Exam that tests fundamentals and is more focused on a particular stream (the stream in which you want to pursue your M.Tech) there is no one set of books which one can consider for preparation GATE. So, the only suggest which I can give you is to work on the fundamentals of your chosen stream and consider your own subject books for preparation.
Few of the books which you may consider are:
Internal Combustion Engine Fundamentals
