You can pursue a five-year integrated law course after 10+2, leading to a BA LLB (Hons). For seeking admission in this law course you need to give an entrance test and a personal interview.
For the five-year course, the premier institution is the National Law School in Bangalore. For admission into it, an All India Entrance Examination is held. The course usually covers practical training including court attendance, hands on training at legal aid centres and research projects. For specialisation in a single focused branch, there are short diploma courses in labour and labour welfare, taxation and so on. To be able to practise, it is mandatory to put in a year's internship.

1. The LL.M. is offered as a two-year (four terms) course or a three-year (six terms) course
2. An entrance exam is conducted for admission into the course.
3. Eligibility: LLB Degree (3 year/5 year course) with 50% marks for General and OBC candidates.
Relaxation of upto 5% marks for PH and 45% marks for SC/ST/CW candidates.
4. Bulletin of Information with application form may be obtained from the office of the Admission Committee. For notifications, keep a constant check on the website.
5. The Test paper will consist of 175 Objective Type Questions with Multiple Choice Answers in the following areas, viz. Constitutional Law of India, Jurisprudence, Law of Contracts (General Principles), Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Family Law of Marriage & Divorce and Public International Law (Law of Peace).

To take the Civil Service (Judicial Branch) examination, you need to be a law graduate from a recognized university/ institute. For the preparation please be thorough with all the reading material and books on the above mentioned. It would also be a good idea to attempt old papers on this as well which are available on the shelf in various book stores.
