No MSc IT is not important for animation. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring. Please fill in the application form (http://www.vanhall-larenstein.com/forms-and-links.aspx)and send it with your complete documents to the Admittance Committee by EMAIL to: infopoint.wageningen@wur.nl
If Email application does not work out for you, you can also apply by regular post. The address is stated on the cover page of the application. After screening your application documents, the committee will send you a letter/email if you are eligible (usually within 3-4 weeks).
Besides the application form, the following documents are required:
A copy of your certificates and diplomas* with transcripts.
A copy of all pages of your passport, including empty pages.
-Copy of your birth certificate*.
-An internationally recognised certificate of proficiency in English language (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge) for participants from countries where English is not the medium of instruction in secondary education.
-A passport photo, according to the Dutch passport rules. (see the studentservices section on our website)
-A short (half A4) motivation letter: why you want to study at VHL and in the domains of VHL.
* We request a certified translation in English when documents are not written in: Dutch, English or German.
If you did not graduate yet, please send in a copy of your most recent transcript.
