With BMM, you have a variety of career options to choose from like advertising, journalist, anchors, radio jockeys, etc.
Here are a few suggestions which could help you choose the right career and make the most of your life in the media field.
Advertising
The advertising sector has become a boom in our country. Every other brand is looking to make it big in the markets and advertisers are their key to success. Advertising agencies have a key ingredient in their daily work to help build a brand. If you are a person who thinks out of the box, then jump and apply at an advertising firm.
Journalism
Journalists are considered well respected people in our country. While some say journalists are bought by politicians of our country to speak well about them, this notion is not true. Journalists are the ones who risk it to bring out the truth. There are many sections of journalism like politics, sports, entertainment, stock markets, etc.
Radio
Radio was the first medium of entertainment for people around the world. While there are many who think the radio has faded away, absolutely not! The radio is everyones pastime while on their way to work and to get their daily dose of entertainment while the radio jockey entertains with his/her wit and also some elements of winning gifts.
Newpapers
Newspapers are the daily dose of information on different topics like politics, sports, entertainment, love and relationships, etc. Everyone gets up to a daily dose of reading newspaper along with a cup of tea. Although its not necessary to be a journalist to write articles in a newspaper, if you have a flare for writing and can cover up daily news or events in a neighbouring area and express your thoughts through your pen, then write for newspapers.
Theatre
Many people are of the notion that theatre means joining an acting school and investing money but not being sure of a stable career. Dont be fooled by the incorrect information doing the rounds. While studying BMM, students are given exposure in a lot of fields and this one being theatre (acting). There are numerous college fests that give an exposure to showcase ones talent.
Media is an industry that will never go in recession. There is always something new and different to learn everyday when you are connected to the field of media.
So, if you are a person who's ready to learn various new things and can think out of the box, then choose any career option from the above to have a fruitful career

In order to pursue Mass communication, you can take up the courses like:
BJMC (Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication)
B.Sc. MCAJ (Bachelors of Science in Mass communication and Journalism)
You can take up the following courses from the government and private institutes. Some of the best colleges that you can choose from are:
Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication (SCMC)
GGS, IPU
DCAC
AAFT
In order to be a graduate from any of these colleges, you might have to write their respective entrance exams as well. A minimum of 50% in 12th from any stream is mandatory to get into the field of mass communication. Anchor, writer, film maker, journalist, reporter, transponder, director, cinematographer, editor, radio jockey, etc. are the fields that you can enroute from this field.

Focus on the basics. Be prepared to get your creative skills getting tested. They can give you an assignment to capture some inspiration or any random topic. For example: this year in NID questions were :
1) 12 photos were given and we were asked to choose 8 photos and narrate a story and paste photos on sheet with story not more than 100 words (90 minutes).
2) A photo and an A3 sheet was given. We had to paste photo on sheet as so it covers 1/3 part of the sheet and draw frame with black pen so as the frame and photos aspect ration remains same. It was tricky (60 minutes).
3) 2 photos were given with a sheet and were asked to paste any one photo on the sheet and write 300 words essay about it (30 minutes).
You can accordingly prepare for the same.
