The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). Hello Maria,
There are many good colleges in Bangalore that admit foreign students. Of course there is a set procedure for admission in engineering colleges in India. I suggest you contact Ramiah college that has reportedly good faculty and facilities.

Hello Tani,
Getting MBA from IIM's is totally different than PG in quantitative economics. I would strongly advise you to go full heartedlly for preparing for CAT. If I may add why not prepare for civil services examination? One year in life, even if you don't qualify, is nothing compared to the satisfaction you will always have of attempting something that you wanted. Go ahead for CAT.

Academics are not the only parameters which IIM or any college around the world considers for admissions to various programmes though strong academics play a great role. There are other parameters like entrance exam score, group discussion, personal interview, aptitude test etc. Parameters would vary from college to college. They try to gauge the candidates skills from all the angles.
