Hi,
If you mean Civil Services, then preparation requires combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books for Prelims
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach for prelims
*Balance paper 1 and 2
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. You may also refer the books below:
Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth
Ancient History by D.D.Kausambi's

Hi Subhash. I am confused with your question. Are you planning to do bachelors or masters? Also can you enlighten me with the next question you have put forth? Are you asking me whether you can work along with your study? In that case I would like to tell you that yes you can work for 20 hours during your study period and during your breaks you can work full time. I hope this answers your query.
