Hello Akon,
As per last year's cut-off marks, that is as per 2016, the cut-off for any B.Tech programme at PSG-Coimbatore was 198 and above except for robotics and automation course as it was just 196 (all these for general category).
So, if you mention your caste then I might tell the exact cut-off for you.
You may refer www.cutoff.tnea.ac.in for the previous year's cut-off marks (2016).
The cut-off for this year is not still available even the ranks have been announced.

Normally speaking, admissions are always based on some or the other entrance exam. However, it was observed that thousands of seats were not filled even after completion of all rounds of counselling. In such cases, some states have allowed admission based on marks of 12th.

Both of these courses are somehow equivalent in case of jobs and scope.
Job chances in renowned Software companies are equally good for M.Sc(IT) and M.Sc(CS).
So performing well in the exams and average good marks play enough big role to avail a satisfactory job in the software market.
Scopes are ample in both of the courses if you look deeply in the placement scenarios of the companies.
So don't think too much for jobs you just complete the course you want with good score. Jobs will be automatically come for you.
Good luck!!
