Hi Rahul,
To secure entry in IAS, the minimum eligibility is to be a graduate degree from a recognized University. One year bachelors/ Single sitting are not the recognized mode of studying a graduate degree as the minimum duration to attain a degree is of 3 years.
Hence I would suggest you to pursue a proper and a valid graduate degree program and based on which later you shall be eligible for the IAS exam.
As for the coaching is concerned, even though you have time to prepare, there are several institutes in India offering these courses and to know about the same you may refer to the following link:

Hi Aditya,
Although, Kuvempu University is an approved University, but whether one Sitting University would be valid or not, is questionable as generally this degree is not acceptable by most of the organizations and higher study Institutes. So, I would suggest you to contact UPSC directly.

Hi,
Mumbai Hindi Vidyapeeth is not recognized by the UGC. Therefore, graduation offered by this university may not be recognized. However, advisable would be that you should check with the university authorities as they are the best source to confirm and clear your doubt
and there can be a possibility that they have got the approval of UGC now.
Hope this will be of help. Feel free to put up more queries In case your query is resolved please close this question by choosing it as a best answer or pressing the thumbs up icon.

Hi Akanksha,
Although, you need to have a recognized graduate degree to sit for IAS & Bank PO Examinations but as IAS is a tough Examination I would suggest you to start your preparation well in advance. However, Coaching you can join by the end of 2nd year but you should start self preparation. To prepare for Civil Service Examination you need to keep yourself updated on current affairs (read News papers, watch news channels) & work on your language skills (read novels). You should also work on your own core subjects as you need to opt for an optional subject in mains which can be from your own stream.

Hi Simoni,
The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your career stream is your own interests and career aspirations. So, if banking and finance is the field in which you want to make your career you can opt for courses like CA, CWA or can opt for B.Com or B.Com in Finance & Accounting etc. actuarial can be another good option.

Hi Chayal, its better to study rather than just think that you will not be able to score. For admission into Bachelors percentage of class 12 is given more importance. But at times percentage of 10 is given equal importance too. Hence it better to concentrate in your studies. You are only in 9th now. You have ample time to change the direction of wind.
If you like this answer then kindly mark it as the best answer or rate it thumbs up. Please feel free to post queries if you have any.
