Kindly mention your son's score as well, because most of the institutes often provide and expected cut off based on the scores and not the ranks.
One can only provide you an assumed figure and nothing in accuracy as the ranks accepted by the institutes are unexpected and expect to change each year. However, you son can apply to several institutes, but getting a call from the top IIT branches may not be possible.

The procedure to apply for Civil Service Examination is pretty simple. Electronically scannable Application Forms along with the Information Brochure can be obtained from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices throughout the country. The duly filled in Application Form with the acknowledgement card should be sent to - Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, New Delhi - 110011.

Hi Gayathri, its not very difficult to apply for visa to Ireland. you can get information from UK VFS about how to go about the process. Basically, you need to fill up the application in triplicate and have 3 sets of documents. you can get details of students studying in Ireland from University and college websites if you would like to find out about th reputation of the college or University.
