Hi,
Well Civil Services ask for minimum eligibility to be graduation. As you done with diploma in E.C.E. you may go for B.TECH 2nd year through lateral entry and along side you may prepare yourself for the exams. Also there are a few criterion that needs to be in mind while selecting optional for IAS.
*First and the foremost, the Candidate must be comfortable in grasping the concepts of the subject.
*Availability of study material is also an important factor in determining the optional subject.
*Candidate should not choose a subject just because it's said to be scoring or his friends are choosing it.
As far as your prior educational background is concerned, you can opt for either of Science subjects or Engineering along with any other subject for which you possess keen interest and passion. For forbidden combinations visit UPSC website.
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. and keep yourself update with current affairs. For the same, you can refer Competition Success Review.

Hi Pranav, the Bachelor of Science is a graduate level course that is opted by many of the students today.
Eligibility Criteria :
** Minimum age is 18 years. There is no upper age limit.
** Students who have cleared plus two with more than 55 percent marks can apply for this program.
