Dear Saloni, A candidate has to acquire an M.B.B.S degree from a medical college and appear for a post- graduate examination to study psychiatry as a subject of specialization. There are two options - they may either do a postgraduate course (MD) in psychiatry or a diploma in psychiatry (DPM). The MD course is of three years' duration while the diploma course is of two years. Besides, one can also join the DNB course organized by the National Board of Examinations which is equivalent to an MD. The course also includes practical training at mental hospitals.
Psychiatrists can seek employment in regular hospitals as well as in mental hospitals. Many of them also work in rehabilitation centers to rehabilitate drug addicts, dipsomaniacs, juvenile delinquents and others with other occupational therapists and social workers. They are appointed in private hospitals, clinics and health institutes. Many polyclinics also recruit psychiatrists to counsel patients to attend to various psychological problems. They can also start private practice at home or by opening their own clinics. They can also work as a counselor in schools, colleges, hospitals, courts, prison and even for NGOs and large scale industries.

Ronak.There is no rational explanation behind " I am not in a state to spend any more time in India." A Foundation degree in UK is called a HND (Higher National Diploma). It is for plus two science stream students who want to study a UG course in Business Management or related field. In your case, the foreign university may expect you to enroll in the final year UG course and then proceed to MBA. But you will not get a student visa or any visa, as you are not enrolling in a full course (you are enrolling in just the final year of UG). With 45% marks in Bcom, the only sensible option you have at the moment is to do a PG Diploma in Marketing or International Business in India and try to get a first class. My sincere advice to you is that you should not to be desperate to leave India as soon as possible. Enroll in a PG Diploma and get good grades. Finally, What will you do if you enroll in a pre-MBA course and fail? You will be losing a lot of money and time. I hope you will take this advice.

There is no standardized way to rank institutes in India, hence it is less releveant to be dependent on the rankings that are made available. However, the better way to look for this institute's value would be by visiting it personally. On the basis of the parameters that you have kept while making an institute choice can be referred while you visit the institute and can all the required information.
As for the recognition of YMCA University, Faridabad is concered; it was established in 1969 as a joint venture of the National Council Of YMCAs of India, Govt of Haryana and the Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany.
