Hi Akshay,
The best course for you will depend on your interest and future plans. Engineering is supposedly one of the best option, but you must also check if you would be interested to pursue a career in engineering. If you have creative skills, you can choose architecture.
Some courses after class 12th PCM includes:
1. BE/ B.Tech.
2. B.Sc in physics, chemistry or mathematics.
3. BCA.

5. B.Arch.

AICTE cannot approve AMIE.
Only when you pursue engineering from an AICTE approved institution by studying the AICTE patterned coursework from an AICTE bench marked and qualified faculties is what you get BE/B.Tech. AICTE is authoritative agency that ensures infrastructure, nature of syllabus, numbers and qualification of faculties, industrial training and exam patterns. BE/B.Tech is not just a degree obtained by clearing the exam.
AMIE is approved only as an equivalency.

Hello Lavanya,
There are many colleges who are admitting students based on JEE Mains. On the other hand, there are many state governments who have their own CETs. It will need a mass movement and pressure on government of India to start something like NEET for engineering students also. Till then, unfortunately, students will have to appear for many entrance exams conducted by these institutions.
Best luck to you.
