It will be very difficult to tell which among these is best as all are good and have great career scope. Below I have mentioned the scope of few courses.
Biotechnology:
Biotechnology engineering is the study of biology with technology for research & development. The scope of this branch has been on the high in the following fields:
Gene therapy
Tissue culture
Immunotechnologies
Genetic Engineering
Plant-based drugs
Rational drug design
Stem cell techniques
New DNA technologies
Photosynthetic efficiency
Enzyme engineering and technology
A Biotechnologist can seek a career in food processing and agro based industries, chemical and textile industries, agricultural sectors, pharmaceutical firms and manufacturing industries, research laboratories, which are run by government or private sector. Professionals can seek job opportunities in private sectors such as , pharmaceutical farms and aquaculture.

Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology
Bachelor of Technology in Bioprocess Technology
Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering

The basic eligibility criteria for admission into bachelor's degree is, higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths and chemistry. For admissions into the IITs, the student has to clear the Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E).
The duration for the course is 4 years.
Food Technology:
Food Technology is a science which deals with the techniques and principles involved in processing and preserving the food substances. The modern food processing techniques is the key to flourishing supermarkets we have today. Extra nutrients can be added while processing the food and processed food is less susceptible to spoilage.

Bachelor of Science in Food Technology
Bachelor of Science in Food Science
Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition
Bachelor of Science in Food Preservation
Bachelor of Technology in Food Engineering
Bachelor of Science (after Bachelor of Science.) in Food Technology
For admission into an undergraduate course in Food Technology/ Food Science, a candidate should have passed 10+2 pass in science stream from recognized Board examination.

Please note that MBA is a post graduate degree and is offered by universities, whereas PGDM is post graduate diploma and is offered by AICTE approved autonomous institutes.
Both these course have almost the same course curriculum and are equally accepted by corporates for job so you may pursue any of these course.
However if you wish to pursue Phd in future in that case you may consider pursuing MBA only.
While taking admission your emphasis should be more on taking admission in good universities or institutes.
You may consider some of the below mentioned points while selecting a institute or university to pursue MBA or PGDM program:

- Institute's infrastructure.
- Teaching faculty.
- Specialization offered.
