For those who find food a fascinating subject, a career in food is definitely an interesting option. Food science and technology is a vast field which includes fresh, as well as packaged food. “Food technology uses sciences from chemistry, engineering, microbiology; nutrition etc. to produce foods that last longer, with better retention of nutrients, is safer and also produces many specialty products.
Academics-There are both diploma and degree courses available in the field of food science and technology in India. On completion of Class XII, one can pursue a diploma course in food technology. Students with a BSc degree in Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, or a BTech in Food Technology can seek admission for MSc course in Food Technology. Those graduating with degrees in home science, nutrition and dietetics and hotel management are also eligible for higher studies in food technology.
Job opportunities- Depending on one's qualification and interest, there are many options available to choose from. “A person can choose to work in food manufacturing industries as it is a sector which needs persons for work from the basic level to the higher level. Positions like new product developer, production supervisor, production executive and quality controller are easily available

You are absolutely right . Many in INDIA are still not considering animation as a serious and potential career .
Where as compare to any other professional courses its more promising , more economic and have at least 10 time better career scope in at least 15 different domain.
Its also considered to be in a few courses , which does not judge a student and his capability and skill only by his academic grade or % scored .
Its equally consider artistic skills, photography knowledge , acting skill , color concept , knowledge of proportion etc among the skills important to grow in this industry .
In this field there are around 8 to 9 domains like 3D modeling , texturing, shadding, rigging, animation , lightig , rendering etc where 99% of the student find it comfortable to build a specialization and grow in life .

Chemical engineering if pursued sincerely is highly profitable and the scope in India is huge. There are many options available for you after your Btech.You can get into public as well as private sectors.Chemical engineers can find jobs in chemical industries,petrochemical industries,manufacturing plants,mining industries,refineries,research Institutes,Oil and Natural Gas industry,etc.Firms dealing with biotechnological and nano-technological operations also need chemical engineers.In public sector.
You can also go for higher studies to make your career firm. The undergraduates can take M.Tech or MS in various fields and courses are offered in various IIT's and NIT's in India. The topics being : environmental engineering, piping and design, nanotechnology, metallurgy, chemical engineering etc. The students can also take up research options in their interested fields and earn while pursuing their course.
