*First and the foremost, you must be comfortable in grasping the concepts of the subject.
*Availability of study material is also an important factor in determining the optional subject.
*You should not choose a subject just because it's said to be scoring or your friends are choosing it.

You can look for class XII directly through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), which is recognised by the Central Government and is equivallent to any other board of education. It is the largest open schooling system in the world with a record enrolment of almost 1.5 million students in both secondary and senior secondary level.
