This degree course offers a stimulating and wide-ranging introduction to English language and literature. I would like to share a generalized view-
The course has two papers in the first and second year each, three in the final year with two optional papers. It begins with recognized writers like Shakespeare, Victorian poets in one paper and contemporary Indian writing in the second paper. In the second year, Greek literature, feminist plays and portions from Mahabharata and Shakuntalam,'' is there.
The Honours Programs are designed for the students who show a strong commitment to an intense study of English literature and includes study from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century, but it also gives room for detailed examination of a particular author or for some specialization in a particular period of literature.

First check if you're suited for Animation. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this. More people with good drawing skill succeed here than the ones without. Good news is that drawing can be learnt like any other skill. Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring. Dear Joydeep, Please don't think of joining Lingaya's. It's a bad, bad college. Faculty is the worst of its class - most teachers can't even speak English, leave alone knowing their own subject. The staff there does not treat you very well. It's more like a government office where you have to go from desk to desk for getting small things done. Then, it's like a jail. They don't let you move out before the college officially shuts in the evening, so even if you are free all day, you'll be forced to stay confined inside the college campus. Placements are below average. Life at Lingaya's is truly miserable: they don't have even clean toilets out there! Their buses have broken doors and windows and are non-ac. Besides travelling to that location is a tedious task in itself considering the badly broken roads and the bad surroundings which are also unsafe for girls. Lingaya's to me was a traumatic nightmare that I'm trying to forget. Please don't make the same mistake as I did by joining Lingaya's University. Trust me, please. I am trying to help you.
