Hi,
To qualify for IIM's and other institutes of IIM level, you have to study hard and score atleast 97 percentile in CAT. I would suggest trying for MBA abroad as you would gain international exposure and networking if you pursue your MBA abroad. Secondly, GMAT is much much easier for anyone to crack than the CAT. Some of the top universities in the US are Harvard, STAnford, Columbia, MIT, University of California. Some of the top universities in UK are London Business Schoo, Oxford, Cabbridge, Warwick, Lancaster and Manchester.
You would need a GMAT score above 700 if you want admission in any of the mentioned universities.
Note* If you have 3-5 years work experience, you should apply to US.
If you have 5+ years work experience, you should apply to UK
I would also like to let you know that MBA in USA is 2 years in duration and MBA in Uk is 1 year in duration.
