I think there are plenty of opportunities to go after that most students/faculty oversee. Most faculty in biotechnology think that, the next steps after an undergraduate degree is to go for Ph.D/M.Sc. I strongly disagree with this.
In addition to courses such as Master's/ Ph.D in Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology etc.
I would suggest you to also look at the following options:
Patent Agent/Lawyer/Attorney (Biotech + Legal Experience/Degree)
Management (Biotech + Experience + Good MBA Degree)
Biomedical/Biomechanical Engineer ((Biotech + Experience/Degree in Bio related Product Engineering)
Bioprocess Engin

The four sections in XAT 2018 are:Quantitative AbilityEnglish Language & Logical Reasoning Decision Making GK & Essay
CAT, SNAP and CMAT don't have decision making section and essay. Decision-making section consists of questions based on case studies where candidates are required to give their opinion. Considering the difficulty level of XAT, other MBA exams like SNAP, CMAT and MAT are often considered easier than XAT.
Keeping the above in mind, here are few tips for XAT 2018:

BBA admissions are based on 12th standard marks on merit. In some institutes they also conduct an open test for allotting admissions to BBA.
For MBA 10/12th standard score does not matter. The admissions are based on open test (CAT) scores. All you need here is minimum 50% marks at graduation level.

Hi, CMAT basically tests a student knowledge of Quantitative Technique & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Knowledge. Almost all the topics covered in each section consists of elementary school subtopics. In order to have a pretty good score in CMAT, one must score well in all the sections. Neglecting any one section is not an option here. However, one can choose to invest more time in a particular subtopic of a section than the other.

Placements don't entirely depend on your percentage but having a good percentage somewhat between 70 to 90% is good to go. Placement depends on other facts also like your resume, your interview, way of conducting and extracurricular activities.

The general MAT score to get admission is about 80%. You are asked to fill the preference for desired campus and if you fulfill the above criterion, you are selected for further interview. However, other students may also apply.
As for general cut off, 70 and above is a good score.
