PCM will give a career in technology whereas commerce will take you to the direction of finance and business studies. Moreover, if you are planning for MBA later, commerce would be an add-on value. There is no advantage or disadvantage of any course. It depends on how your interest grows and how better you can perform.

Hi Sneha, I believe PCM is a great choice if you want to get a hi tech job in a big MNC with a extremely good package. But few the disadvantages includes that PCM is very difficult to complete and for a better college you need to give JEE exam which is the most competitive exam and not everyone can score in that. One should pursue PCM only if you can actually leave everything aside and work for your future.

You will have to clear state/national level entrance examinations or equivalent to secure admissions to a B Tech programme. But if you are interested in accountancy and finance and wish to pursue careers in banking and Finance or Insurance sector, then commerce streams will have a better edge.

PCM in 12th is clearly meant for pursuing Engineering and other career options that requires Diploma in Science. You definitely need to prepare well for securing a good rank in entrance tests for various institutions, both State or National Level. Choosing the Commerce stream with Maths will take you towards the business stream, which deals with how to manage business, people, finances and other core aspects of running a business. There are no specific advantages or disadvantages of choosing either of these streams as it purely depends on where your interest is.

These two are different streams as in pcm mostly students go for engineering and in commerce options are CA and related to financial so it totally depedns on your interest what you want to pursue further.
