I would go for field of interest. I chose PCM, because Science intrigued me. Then, I opted for engineering and I don't deal with Science anymore. Career options in both the fields are innumerable. Commerce: you have to work with finances and taxes. Career prospects during recession are better than engineers. You can do CA and earn lots. Science: you can go for engineering. Then, you can go for Masters in Science fields, research. You can earn lots if your research is good. You can be a professor. So, it is upto you.

Advantage is, if you are study by PCM. You can apply for any job like engineering, navy etc. You are free. But, I think engineering is not the best option in PCM. It offers you only INR. 15,000 starting salary. But, a commerce student apply for accountant. If you are good in Math. But, in commerce job you are dependent on your head. Life is yours. Just listen of your mind.

Science will open up area in Engineering and Research whereas the commerce field keeps you restricted to business and administration. If you are interested in Science and technology, go for PCM. If in business, go for commerce.

Hi, PCM in +2 will open your doors to a lucrative career in Engineering besides other academic options available. You will have to clear state/national level entrance examinations or equivalent to secure admissions to a B.Tech programme. But, if you are interested in accountancy and finance and wish to pursue careers in banking and Finance or Insurance sector, then commerce streams will have a better edge.

    Hi,
There are no as such advantages of taking PCM over Commerce with Maths, it is just a matter of interest. If your interest lies in the subjects of Science then you should go for PCM and if in commerce then, Commerce with Maths. Both the fields are different. The fields which require your base in mathematics will only accept PCM, for example, Engineering, Architecture etc.
