    PCM is open branch. You can go to any branches after completing your high school. Other branches like commerce, arts etc. Restrict many fields after high school. And, PCM has best benefit it's student can give any exam.

    PCM is a subjects which gives you depth knowledge and have enormous job fields but if you are interested in knowing about business than commerce is the thing for you

    I would say that advantage and/or disadvantage is dependent on your requirement. Everything has pros and cons. However, you should first decide, what you want to do by looking at your area of interest.
    By opting pcm, you can build your career in engineering stream (sub stream again depends on your area of interest) whereas by opting commerce, you can build your career as CA or economist.

    Moreover, taking PCM in 12th may help in building a more logical and rational thinking in you. Your approach towards a particular thing becomes more broadened and as a fact worldwide you will find that the most intelligent minds.
    The successful mavericks and geniuses had a penchant for sciences at some point of their lives. Such studies give you a more holistic view of the world and you become in the real sense. Than it is whether cracking the CAT or UPSC or music or design. Engineers are not far behind. You can take anyone's history as a sample.

    PCM is must if you want to make your career in engineering or BCA. You can't do this course after studying commerce in class 12th.

    There is no advantages or disadvantages as such. Everything depends on your interest and your performance. Whichever field you have interest in, you can perform well there.

    There are no such advantages or disadvantages of PCM over commerce stream. It depends on everyone's choice taking PCM means you are interested in Science and want to work in the Science field and taking commerce field means you want to work with maths and its branches like statistics, etc. Although its all are general norms and you can elect whatever field you love. If you love your field then there are no such disadvantages.

    PCM has many advantages like by taking them you can understand how the things going on around yours. These three subjects will be with you in your whole life. In all things, you find the involvement of these three subjects. Out of these three, mathematics mainly play an important role in our daily life. PCM has vast opportunities and jobs. Like banks jobs, engineering jobs, etc. While commerce mainly emphasizes on balancing of money.
