<p>Its totally depends on you and your interest. If you are more interested in Engineering, Pharmaceuticals and other programs where PCM is mandatory, You need to pass with PCM subjects. For example, If you want to take admission in B.tech, you must pass your 12th with PCM but in many courses such as BCA, B.sc IT, B.A you don't need PCM. If you are more interested in Commerce studies, you can go with commerce.&nbsp;</p>

PCM will give a career in technology whereas commerce will take you to the direction of finance and business studies. Moreover, if you are planning for MBA later, commerce would be an add-on value. There is no advantage or disadvantage of any course. It depends on how your interest grows and how better you can perform.

Pulse code modulation (PCM) is a digital form of communication. For the demodulation of PCM, it is necessary to convert it into PAM. Quantization noise occurs in PCM only. Its the greatest disadvantage is its requirement for large bandwidth.

Well it's upto you whether you should take PCM or not but here I am going to tell you about my choice which I think may help you. I was always interested in Science and thought about making cool stuffs solving problems of real world but never scored very good in PCM. I was able to score average marks in Physics and Chemistry and just passing marks in Maths. This was my condition because I cannot cram just before exam and print the routine questions into the answer sheet. But I was, and am able to understand concepts to deeper levels and enjoy the beauty of Science. This happens with me even in Maths. I am able to solve questions and visualize concepts yet I am unable to score well because I forget formulas (this may be because of lack of practice but I don't care because I understand the concept and am happy about it instead of pointless rote learning by solving a question again and again). PCM made me happy. I was refused Science stream in my school ( just because of prelims even though I knew that my board exams were good but back then I had to sit in commerce till the result) so I had to change my school to get PCM. I struggled a lot with PCM especially Maths but now I am a student of mechanical engineering scoring decent marks in all subjects and average marks in Maths. Just remember Every one gets off track while chasing their goals don't be ashamed to get back on it. Don't think that if you waste some time getting you're gonna fail. It's the attitude of getting back on track that makes people successful. One reason I didn't score well in math was that I was afraid of the fact that I lack full understanding of a previous topic but now I realize that it's a kind of illusion in Maths. Mathematics is so rich and infinite that it's impossible to learn it systematically, and if you wait to master one topic before moving to next, you'll never get anywhere. Instead, you'll have tendrils of knowledge extending far from your comfort zone. Then you can later backfill from these tendrils and extend your comfort zone.
