PCM in +2 is generally considered as a very good option as it opens doors for multiple fields like Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, BScs, Defense (NDA), etc. hence providing flexibility yet if you are interested in commerce and like to gain more deapth knowledge in this you can also opt commerce with mathematics which is also a good option as it is perfect for Business, Finance, & Management Careers and also Early Exposure to Real-World Concepts. But at last just keep in mind what you love studying is the one you should opt as it is your career and you have to spend whole life with it.

PCM will give a career in technology whereas commerce will take you to the direction of finance and business studies. Moreover, if you are planning for MBA later, commerce would be an add-on value. There is no advantage or disadvantage of any course. It depends on how your interest grows and how better you can perform.

PCM in 12th is clearly meant for pursuing Engineering and other career options that requires Diploma in Science. You definitely need to prepare well for securing a good rank in entrance tests for various institutions, both State or National Level. Choosing the Commerce stream with Maths will take you towards the business stream, which deals with how to manage business, people, finances and other core aspects of running a business. There are no specific advantages or disadvantages of choosing either of these streams as it purely depends on where your interest is.

Pulse code modulation (PCM) is a digital form of communication. For the demodulation of PCM, it is necessary to convert it into PAM. Quantization noise occurs in PCM only. Its the greatest disadvantage is its requirement for large bandwidth.
