PCM Physics Chemistry and Mathematics) and Commerce with Mathematics are two very different streams in education, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Here are some of the key advantages and disadvantages of taking PCM over Commerce with Mathematics:
    Advantages of PCM:
    1. More career options: PCM offers a wider range of career options such as engineering, architecture, research, and development, and more. Graduates with PCM background can also take up management roles in technical fields.

There are some disadvantages of PCM (pulse code modulation) which are given below, The PCM (pulse code modulation) requires large band widthas compared to analog system. Encoding, decoding and quantizing circuit of PCM is very complex. Low noise susceptibility allows PCM signals to transmit farther than analog signals without signal degradation, information loss and distortion.

    Hi,
See, I would suggest you should go for field of your interest. I chose PCM because Science intrigued me. Then I opted for engineering and I don't deal with Science anymore. Career options in both the fields are innumerable. Commerce: you have to work with finances and taxes. Career prospects during recession are better than engineers. You can do CA and earn lots. Science: you can go for engineering. Then you can go for Masters in Science fields, research. You can earn lots if your research is good. You can be a professor. So, it's upto you.

As per me, PCM has more advantages.
Being a science with maths student, you can apply for all those streams where a commerce student can apply (leaving 1-2 things) and apart from grabbing commerce opportunities, you can also grab opportunities in the engineering field. In short, you can have both things in your hand and more opportunities than a commerce student. However, if you are specific in what you want to do, for example, you want to become a banker then you can choose commerce, but your field will be narrow.
Always try to make your field broad.

Hello, Choose PCM, if you are studious and want to do B.Tech or Science courses in future. PCM keeps all your options open for future. Commerce with Maths limits your options in future. But, if you are good at Maths, go for commerce. All the best.

If you choose PCM then you can go for B.Tech. But if your ultimate goal is to go for MBA, I would suggest you to go for some other courses like B.Com or BA (English).

Well, advantages are more than disadvantages. After Science, you will be able to choose any field and can opt for any degree. And, the mathematics in PUC Science is of a higher level. The only disadvantage as I think is that it will be a tougher Maths, if you are not good in playing with number in mathematics.
