Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a connection oriented protocol and offers end-to-end packet delivery. It acts as back bone for connection. Short for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, TCP/IP is a set of rules (protocols) governing communications among all computers on the Internet.
