What are the career & job prospects in India for TCP and Internet Protocols?

Computer network management is a purely technical function. In a world where connectivity is the key, expertise in networking can take you places. There are several career avenues within networking, some of which are the following: Instead of working in a bank, Credit Card Company or telecom company where you get to interact face-to-face with the custom. Job Profiles in Networking are - Network Technicians Network Programmers and Analysts Network Managers Service Technicians Network Programmers and Analysts Entry-level salaries can be as high as Rs.20,000 - 25,000 for those with relevant vendor certifications like CCNA etc. Diploma holders could expect to earn Rs.7,000 - 10,000. At the higher end, a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) would get Rs 40,000. All the best.

In general, the protocols are guidelines which lay down certain rules. These protocols describe the movement of data between the source and destination or the internet. These protocols offer simple naming and addressing schemes. Currently, In India, there is no particular college (or institute) providing a full/fledged course in TCP/IP. You can learn this while studying network engineering. The required skills to apply for the job of TCP/IP are: you need to be experienced. Experience with Cisco Systems IOS routers and switches and ASA firewalls or experience with TCP/IP, routing/switching concepts and common routing protocols. You can do B.Tech in IT to be eligible for jobs. Thank you.

Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a connection oriented protocol and offers end-to-end packet delivery. It acts as back bone for connection. Short for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, TCP/IP is a set of rules (protocols) governing communications among all computers on the Internet. More specifically, TCP/IP dictates how information should be packaged (turned into bundles of information called packets), sent, and received, as well as how to get to its destination. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP protocol is must for any Network or Electronics engineer. TCP/IP details are taught as part of any Electronics and Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology graduation degree or networking course or certification. Knowledge of TCP/IP only cannot help anybody to get a job. Student is advised to gain industry recognized networking certification to become network engineer.
