Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: Lovely Professional University or SRM University, Chennai?

Hello Shiksha, I will give you my opinion based on feedback received from previous students of LPU. The CSE department is among the best Colleges for Computer Science in Punjab, India, LPU. It encourages all-round development through industry adapted curriculum focusing on enhancing both technical skills and soft skills. Professional Enhancement- In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Industry Immersion- Trainings, projects and guest lectures collaborated with industries help to learn from real life situations. Projects- Seminar and Project driven courses are designed to enhance technical and presentation skills. Industrial Visits- Encourage students to have maximum industrial exposure through visits for problem identification and emerging technologies. Interdisciplinary Minors- Minor elective gives the students a choice to develop expertise in the interdisciplinary areas of interest for example Management and ECE. Software Skills- Curriculum is equipped with 21st century digital technologies for web designing, networking, mobile phone app development, data analytics, and data bases. Industrial Certifications- Curriculum of the course is competent to impart skills as benchmarked by Wipro Talent+, Infosys Campus Connect, HCL K2 with option to undergo Industrial Certifications and Online Courses. Industrial Input- Curriculum of the course is competent to impart skills as per feedback provided by premier organizations of industry and academia. Innovative Pedagogy- Usage of demo kits in addition to animations, simulations, audio-visual aids, demonstrations provide interactive teaching methodology. Both the universities are at an equal level when compared with educational facilities, labs, placements. But, SRM is just one step down at Placements. Whereas, LPU provides good placements with the high salary packages because it has tie-ups with many MNC's. So, LPU is a better choice for B.Tech in CSE.

Hello Shiksha SRM and LPU are one of the most prestigious institutions in the nation. Before selecting them, keep away the hangover of IITs and NITs. The institutions are very well but there are students who are students from private or other far of institutions are doing and achieving far better than them. Well, LPU is a renowned and famous option but a new university whereas SRM is an old and more established one than LPU which have its own pros and cons. Infrastructure: LPU has an unbeatable infrastructure as compared to SRM and other institutions of India. Though SRM spends a lot to maintain its towers the old construction might be seen in some far off SRM campuses. Also, LPU has the largest pool of talents and creative minds as it has the highest number of students and the largest campus. So, a good learning of management can be attained from LPU staff. Management and Accommodation: Again LPU beats SRM as it is having a hi-tech IT build system throughout the campus whether it is the sensor-gates at the entrance or fully online system of marking assessments and co curricular. LPU has the highest number of full metal detecting turnstile gates as compared to any international airport or temple of India. Academics: One cannot ignore the fact that SRM has more qualified teachers and experienced lab coordinators which seem obvious when the establishment is too old but LPU is developing and is rated as the fastest upgrading institutions of India. Placements: Both LPU and SRM provide ample opportunities for placements in their recruitments drives and there is seen a frequent visit of core MNCs but SRM is academic and LPU is an industry oriented university. CSE has a large scope here such as in the web and android development, hacking and its security and so on practised on an only I-Mac labs in the country.

From your above mentioned choices, in my opinion, SRM University, Chennai is better for B.Tech in computer Science engineering. It has a world-wide recognition and has a reputation for providing amazing placements. The University has good infrastructure and ambiance with expert faculty members that makes the learning experience there quite merrier. All the best!

Well if you ask me I would say there is no point comparing because both LPU and SRM University has their own story of glory and limitations. On one side where SRM University is famous for many branches. LPU is a younger a shining star in the ranking of Best Private University of India. Lovely Professional University's commitment to teaching excellence and providing the highest quality education to its students has once again brought laurels. The Ministry of Human Resource Department, Government of India has released NIRF Ranking 2020 and LPU appears in Top 100 in its most crucial Overall category, which includes IITs and Central Universities. LPU is also ranked 78th in the list of all the government and private universities of the country. University Engineering School is in the Top 100, Management School in the Top 50, and Pharmacy School in the Top 30 institutions of India. A new name as compared to SRM but a promising and a progressive university. Both the university have : The Lush Green, Pollution-Free Campus. Wide Range of Courses. Infrastructural Delight.
