Hello,
I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I can share details about LPU but I cannot comment anything about others. Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement. Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview. One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus...more -

While beginning with the discussion and making you get the right choice, always keep in mind that CSE is more about dedication, passion, and hard work towards our goal. SRM and LPU are one of the most prestigious institutions in the nation. Before selecting them, keep away the hangover of IITs and NITs. The institutions are very well but there are students who are students from private or other far of institutions are doing and achieving far better than them.
Well, LPU is a renowned and famous option but a new university whereas SRM is an old and more established one than LPU which have its own pros and cons.

Certainly, LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. Professors are easily approachable in the college and are well experienced. They are very supportive of all technicalities. We can contact them anytime for our study purpose. The latest teaching methods are used in the classroom. Curriculum in our branch is very well designed such that we can learn everything from basics to the in-depth knowledge of our fi...more

Both are doing pretty well in this branch which is highly sought after and has maximum opportunities.
But change is the only constant in computer engineering ! LPU has adjusted dynamically to the continuous updations and changes in the industry.
As an Educator I would compare the universities on following:
Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a program which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi.
Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy forma the backbone of how the program is delivered, more the practica...more

Hey, for LPU NEST counselling, you'll need to carry these docs to make things smooth—LPU keeps it straightforward so you can focus on joining their awesome campus life.
Class 10th marksheet and certificate for basic ID and birth proof. Class 12th marksheet and certificate to verify your scores. LPUNEST admit card and scorecard, super important for eligibility. A recent passport-size photo, your Aadhaar or any valid photo ID, and category certificate if you're applying under reserved quota. If needed, graduation marksheet for specific programs.

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way
Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.
at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
