IITs, NITs and State colleges are best institutes for Engineering degrees. You can also evaluate BITS Pilani, BIT Misra, VIT, SRM, Manipal Institute of Technology , Tapar etc. In addition there are some private colleges in each state which are well recognised. Selection of Institute can be based on location, total cost, Hostel availability, quality of teaching, facilities, placement record, AICTE recognisation, brand image etc. India Today publishes list of top 50 colleges every year. You can refer this list also for your decision. -
