    Hey,
You can choose the best placement college by checking up their websites and history of placements. You may get connected to their pass-out students and get an idea about its placement cells. The list of the top colleges for placement is:-
    UPES, Dehradun
    IIT Kanpur
    IIT Delhi
UTM, Shillong and many more. I know about UPES companies like Accenture, IBM, Dell R&D, Nestle, L&T Infotech, Maruti, Philips Carbon Black, Reliance Industries, Tata Technologies, GATI KWE, etc. to name a few have taken more than 500 students from there.

The choice of the engineering branch depends on your interest. In your case, automobile engineering would be the best choice.
    Below mentioned are the reasons:
    1. Market conditions vary every 6 months to 1 year. Engineering is a 4 year course. There is a high chance that the field which looks the most promising at the time of taking admission might not be good when you complete engineering.
    2. Engineering mostly involves practical skills rather than theoretical knowledge. If you choose a stream based on market trends, chances are that you might not be able to understand the subject properly. This may result in lesser grades and impact on p

IIT Khargpur, Kanpur, Madras, Varanasi, Allahabad, Ahemdabad and Delhi have a very good placements record but just because not every student can get admission in IITs, there are other colleges too that have good placements records like BITS Pilani, UPES, PEC University of Technology, College of Engineering Pune and Dhirubai Ambani Institute Gandhnagar. So, you can choose among these colleges for your engineering.

IIT, NIT, CFTI, IIIT, BITSAT, VIT, SRM and Manipal are best in placements.
