Which is a better option among pursuing BCA+MCA from a good college and doing B.Tech+M.Tech (CSE) from an average college? What should I do?

I am weak in chemistry and it will be hard for me to get admission in a good college like KIIT and VIT.

A general trend is to prefer the engineering stream but in an AICTE approved, preferably accredited institute affiliated to a reputed university or an institute of national importance. Again it depends on where you wish to see yourself after the completion of the programme. May be you prefer to see yourself as a system analyst or a programming expert, MCA is not bad at all.

BCA+MCA is a better option to choose as it is a completely good course to go with.

Go for B.Tech and then M.Tech as it will provide you a large number of opportunities so that you can build your career in any field.

According to me, you can go with B.Tech+ M.Tech (CSE) from best college. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the core departments of The NorthCap University. The Department is striving towards its goal of providing innovative and quality education with high standards to achieve academic excellence. Keeping in view the dynamic nature of growth in industry and the increasing demand for the latest technologies, the department is starting five new specializations in B.Tech CSE namely:
    1) Data Science and AI
    2) Cyber Security
    3) IOT & Cloud Computing
    4) Full Stack Development
    5) Game Tech, AR and VR
    NCU takes immense prid
    ...more

I prefer BCA+MCA. Regardless of the college, BCA+MCA saves you one year, as well as if you want to get into ITs they now prefer having an MCA person with good skill rather than a B.Tech guy who still studies 40 year old syllabus.

In my opinion, choosing a good college is always a better option. Because, at the end of the day, all you are concerned about is good placement. And good colleges guarantee better placements.

Both are having good careers but it is based on your interest. If your interest is in application development like web, android, programming then you should choose BCA+MCA.

Just go for B.Tech from any average college, if you're having a good coding skill you will definitely get placed with flying digits.

As per the combination that you had showed, the best option is to do BCA+ MCA. As this is much more requirement of today's world, and has much more options also.

    Hello,
I think you should go for B.Tech. Because the days good engineers get paid a lot. I would say B.Tech offers more professional front than BCA.
    All the best.
