Which is a better option among pursuing BCA+MCA from a good college and doing B.Tech+M.Tech (CSE) from an average college? What should I do?

I am weak in chemistry and it will be hard for me to get admission in a good college like KIIT and VIT.

  • Dear BCA makes you adept at the application level of computers whereas B.Tech makes you proficient at the 'technical' level (Software, Hardware, applications etc. ). Whereas for BCA students need to have secured good grades in any of the Arts/Science or Commerce streams.

I would suggest you to go for BCA+MCA option. This will help you to be more close to your area of interest i.e. computer Science. Although, going for engineering (CSE) will help you to learn coding and all. But, M.Tech is more of for educational (teaching) purposes.

You should go for B.Tech + M.Tech. The reason is that certainly, you will be called an engineer after B.Tech only an get another opportunity to get a good college through GATE moreover it is mandatory that you will be called an engineer only after completing BCA + MCA.

LISTEN BCA+MCA=B.Tech as job scope and don't compare these too. B.Tech is high level degree you just can't equalise it with BCA.

    HI Hriddhi,
I am happy that are talking of comparison but it should be crystal clear that any study must be done from a good and well reputed college/ university. Your choice must depend upon following parameters:

Training: The latest technologies relating to the industry needs like SAP and other MOOCs must be done to students.
Guest lectures and industry connect: The guest lectures from industry, industrial visits, frequent interactions must be there for students t

    Hello!
BCA makes you adept at the application level of computers whereas B.Tech makes you proficient at the 'technical' level (Software, Hardware, applications etc. ). All it depends upon your interest. While BCA gives students a good technology knowledge, it is advisable to complete your MCA to give yourself career wise push. After graduation, a student with a B.Tech degree has greater job opportunities than a student with a BCA. I would advise you to go for B.Tech for complete learning and better industry options. B.Tech will be for 4 years and leads to immediate employability while BCA is three year course but requires MCA at the end

Hello, B.Tech + M.Tech in CSE is a good option in today's requirement and there are good placements in industry. But companies only take students who have extra skills along with degree. They don't just take a degree holder. So do extra courses and job will be in your hand. Best of luck.
