Both Manipal Institute of Technology and Vellore Institute of Technology in Vellore are the best top private colleges of Engineering in India.
According to me Vellore Institute of Technology in Vellore with mechanical engineering is much better choice than mechanical engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology because of the following reasons:
    1. Fee structure of Manipal Institute of Technology is about 12.8 lakh while the fee structure of Vellore Institute of Technology in about 7.28 lakh in the course of mechanical engineering.
    2. Faculty of Vellore Institute of Technology is much better than Faculty of Manipal Institute of Technol

Hi, All these names are decently placed, but the matter of fact is, the cut throat competition in industry leaves most of the graduates out with obsolete skills. I am surprised not to SEE LPU's name here in question as it is clearly a leader in this programme. On the other hand LPU has recognised the need of constantly upgrading its curriculum in consultations with Industry. LPU has made a name for itself in Mechanical field in last 15 years, the programme is curated to focus on production, designing, and operations of machines. The course objective of mechanical engineering is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechani

I'm currently a student of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune. So my answer mainly focuses on the facts about my college. We have got the average placements for mechanical engineering. The mechanical engineering department is gifted with a good quality faculties/staff. Plus, we have got a good infrastructure. Moreover, you can get Honours courses, many workshops and other courses that will help improve your employability. This department gets the highest package of around 10 lpa+. Average package is around 4 to 4.5 lpa. Some of the top notch companies coming for placements are Atlas Copco, Bosch, Morgan Stanley, Toyo, Sandvik, J

I would say, The engineering stream at LPU itself has received an overall good rating from students and alumni. The School of Mechanical Engineering offers well engineered seamless courses for students at many different levels such as undergraduate, Diploma/certificate, post-graduate and research based Ph.D. level courses, not only for Mechanical Engineering, but also for Automobile, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics as well. I am saying this because my brother has completed B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. He told me, Mechanical

VIT has an excellent curriculum. Its course outline of teaching Foreign Language, English spoken and mainly focus on the real subjects that actually matter in an individuals engineering life is excellent. Actually, it is a matter that almost every college teaches that subjects too which will not be useful in his/her future. But VIT doesn't have this policy which is excellent. Faculty members are very experienced also. Placements are good. College infrastructure is excellent with its huge campus. On the other hand, MIT mechanical sector is very good. It comes in those branches of MIT which maintains it placement, course outlines constan

I would suggest you to go with VIT (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology) rather than MIT.
Generally speaking, VIT ranks higher than MIT as such. Even if you compare cut-offs of VIT and MIT you can clearly see the cutoffs are high for VIT which means students prefer it over MIT. Last year VIT had around 80+ percent placement for the mechanical department with an average package around 5-6 LPA. VIT is known for its blend of academics with extra-curricular activities. It focuses on the all-round growth of its students in comparison to MIT.
So my suggestion is that you must choose VIT for CSE over MIT.
