The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) of India conducts the exam and on the basis of the result IAS, IPS, IFS officers are selected.
For preliminary test preparation , you should be aware of all the current affairs, plus you should prepare well for general knowledge, you should develop a habit of reading news papers, magazines and journals daily, as this will help you to prepare well for GK and current affairs.
You can opt for either of the subjects,you have mentioned, but which ever subject you choose you must have in depth knowledge of it, its a myth that arts subjects need less preparation as compare to science subjects.

Dear Navneet after completing CA final you should get registered at ICAI and then you may choose either to practice individually, or at a running firm or you may also join any company if you have good skills in the practicals. But for start I recommend you to join a reputed firm at your home town or a nearer city for atleast 2 years.

Hi,
In my opinion there is not much big diffrence between PGDM and MBA.
Both these courses are having value. Universities and colleges recognised by any university provide you MBA degree and some other business schools provide you PGDM.
No matter it is MBA or PGDM the university or college you get your degree does matters. Corporates doesn't look at MBA or PGDM but they look at the talent of the student and his skills. so I can say that none or these both are inferior nor superior. from my point of view both are important and are having importance in companies. so don't worry but get your degree from a top college.
