Yes, you can.
One thing important here is: Why would you want to do that?
After studying commerce, growth of commerce is huge.
But if your interest lies in science then you might shift. Why most of the people go for an MBA post engineering, B.Sc, science courses, etc. The answer is accounting, marketing, financial education is the key to understand any business.
It is good that you have studied the basics in commerce. If this has made any interest in you do stick to commerce for higher studies.
Else, yes you can opt for B.Sc but the cut-off for any college will be higher for you than the science folks in this case.

The university is good in terms of infrastructure and placement, good industry collaboration and has a dedicated team if the placement cell which tries to pitch the Institute to the recruiter to come and place their students in good profiles and packages.

Well the institute is good and decent and will provide you with good facility and infrastructure which you require. But placement are not good as compared to other same level university or college .
There are no 100% placement not because of college but because of the students who are not able to perform during the campus selection and they blame the college for not providing the opportunity. The institute invites company for placement with decent package but then it is up to the candidate to perform in the selection process.

The university is a renowned and well established as well as the top universities in the India. So, these attract many companies for abroad as well as for the domestic placements.
Though one can notice that the abroad placements opportunities are quite less in DoMS, though the number of students placed is high due to corporates in Pune.

You may clear NET exam or some other state entrance and go for lectureship in government colleges, and also in private colleges.
If you like your subject and are interested in research, Ph.D is the way to go. Be it at IIT, IISER, TIFR, IISc and so on. Choose a top class institute and a good guide with whom you would be comfortable to work.

Yes you can have international internship offer, according to your performance. And ofcource in India you can get placement specially in marketing field with average package of 5.5 lakh. the companies are mostly coming for marketing because marketing job opportunities are more and they are offering handsome salary package.
after marketing, next opportunities are in financial sector companies like tata capital, ICICI direct, ICICI securities, HFFC and more companies are coming and average package is 4.5 to 5 lakh.

BITS Pilani is five decades old engineering institute with international known brand image and is on par with legacy IITs.
