2. Pedigree of test takers
3. Student to intake ratio of the top 20 b-schools
4. Level of difficulty of an exam
CAT is objective in nature and therefore there is randomness or an entropic feel to it. You cannot predict the number of answers/score in order to get a call from your dream b-school. It is taken by roughly 2L candidates every year and the seats at top Iims is are 5000. So, the odds are stacked against you because to get that elusive 99. Shri Ram College of Commerce is better than Delhi School of Economics with a tiny margin because getting in SRCC is more difficult than DSE. What makes SRCC more prestigious? Although, it is affiliated to the University of Delhi granting undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, but you would be shocked to know that it was established in 1926, much before than Delhi School of Economics.* (Delhi School of Economics was established in 1949)If an institution is so old that means it has something special which attracted students for so many years.

Although my suggestion is to go with full time course but still if you want to pursue in distance learning them you must be extra proactive. Because in distance learning you cant get the real work exposure as in college. In full time course, you can get the opportunity to interact with the leading brands in this field and their valuable suggestion. But in distance learning u can learn i

I will give you my views based on the assumption that DU is the only option for you.
B.Com (h) opens up accounting avenues. You can pursue CA along with it but then you will have to do a correspondence course as the new rule of DU does not allow regular B.Com (h) students to pursue CA too.
You must have heard about the Big4: KPMG, Delloit, E&Y, PwC. If you dream of working in these audit companies then this is the apt choice.
My personal advice would be to opt for a regular course if you are getting good colleges like SRCC,LSR or so. Believe me the experience you get there is unmatched and you will cherish it forever.

Yes, it increases your chances but it is not necessary.
So, why do CFA or FRM? These are courses for individuals interested in specific fields. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is for the ones who want to go in money/asset management. Those interested in equity research and analysis finds this course interesting. FRM (Financial Risk Management) is for those interested in risk management of various investments. So pursue these courses only if you want to go into that particular field and are genuinely interested. CFA takes almost one year for each level. There are three such levels. Only having level one will not help much for your care
