Hi Sarthak,
I have also given IELTS exam 3 years back by preparing myself and got a decent score. The time constraint is always there through the exam.
Reading - For me reading was the toughest part. Some paragraphs were very confusing. I don't think you can do much about it, but reading newspapers, magazines helps. Got 6.5
Listening - Audios are available on Internet. Just download them and listen again and again. Got 7.5
Speaking- Was about self, hobbies, ambition etc. All they check is how well you are able to communicate your thoughts. Try speaking different words in your daily life. I scored 7.
Writing - you have the option of writing

You can exclude physical education. If you want to pursue B.Sc in Maths. You can't exclude English as well as Chemistry. English is a mandatory subject for all the courses. And hence you can't exclude chemistry as you have to B.Sc in Maths. For merit, they will consider your PCM group which is mandatory.

UPES is far better than Maharshi Markandeshwar University. UPES has a good number of companies visiting there for placement and also has a good reputation in India. Campus and faculties are excellent there.

Sorry, but both scores are low. You will not get admission based on these score. So, go for any other course than engineering. Or take admission in any private institute.

Placements are good and the faculty here is one of the best among all the IHMs. The faculty is very old and experienced that is the only reason why the level of studies is very good.

I know people who are working part time, 1-2 days a week, but that's very rare. It depends on how your program is structured and what you're taking for classes. I don't think working fulltime and going to school fulltime would be possible. Even if you could schedule classes at night meetings and everything else typically takes place during the day. Plus you have social activities and homework and exams. So, school often keeps you as busier than working 40 hrs a week.

Hello Abhishek,
For admission in any NIT, you need to take JEE Mains only. There is no other way out, However, if you are studying in B.Tech first year then concentrate on your B.Tech course. However, if you want to switch then prepare well for JEE Mains.
