In order to pursue engineering one must have Science (Physics / Chemistry / Maths / Biology or Economics or any other subject) in 10+2.
Students appear for different Engineering Entrance Exams like:
1. IIT - JEE
2. VITEEE
3. BITSAT
4. MU OET
5. SRMEEE
6. UPTU and many more at the state level and institute specific.

Vinod, If you are confused about careers after 12th/ graduation, there are a few ways to approach this. One, is to go for a career counsellor who would take parametric tests and identify your strengths and weaknesses and advise career categories to attempt. Also, if you are very good with, and like maths and programming, you may opt for Computers (BTech or BCA). Whereas, if you are good with Drawing and Creative opt for Design (Animation, VFX, Games, Web Design). If you are good with words become a writer (content, news, fiction, ads) or director. If you are good with keeping records go for Accounts or Stats or administration. If you are good with logic and have patience go for Law. If you are good at memorizing and love nature and are caring go for medical. If you are good with people and are quick with decisions, go for Management.
