One should decide on the basis of the kind of career you would want for yourself. MBA is a holistic course which deals with management aspects, the major specialization in MBA are:
- Finance.
- Marketing.
- Human resources, etc.
All the specialization fields mentioned above are good to pursue and all offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
I would suggest that before opting for any specialization you must first decide in which field you wish to build your career and accordingly you may select the best specialization as per your interest and liking.
As a student you should give your 100% in whichever specialization you opt for, and if you do well then getting a good job with handsome salary should not be a problem.

If you wish to build your career specifically in the field of travel and tourism sector only, then pursuing MBA in travel and tourism would be the best option for you.
Whereas, if you wish to keep you scope open for other sector as well, in that case you may consider pursuing general MBA program.
The duration of MBA course is 2 years, and in order to pursue MBA, you need to be graduate in any field, with atleast 50% marks in graduation plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT,XAT,etc.
For your reference travel and tourism sector is one of the booming sectors, it offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
Career opportunities exist both in India as well as abroad,in the public sector, there are opportunities in the directorates and departments of tourism of the center and the state as Officers, information assistants, Tourist guides etc.
Another good prospectus for qualified tourism professionals are in the private sector with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotels, transport and cargo companies etc.

The selection process for this examination comprises of the following: - Academic Performance- Class 10 Marks- Class 12 Marks- Degree Marks- Group Discussion (GD)- Micro Presentation (MP)- Written Skill Assessment (WSA)- Personal Interview (PI)
Group discussion will be on general current affair topics. Should be good in communication. Candidates will be grouped to 14-15 members for group discussion and for Micro presentation. For micro presentation each student will be asked to present on the topic, for which they give 90 seconds for preparation and 90 seconds to present. The topics for Micro presentation will be given for 2016-17 admission in the Christ University website. So that you can prepare and go for Micro presentation.
Written skill Assessment will be given to check the writting skills of the candidates where you'll be asked to write essay on the topic given.
Personal interview will be based on the skills how you are going to answer for all the questions asked by the panellist.
