Well acting is the only profession where your looks and appearance is given more weightage than your qualification. As you are interested in working in serials, I would first suggest you to get a portfolio done and submit it in various AD agencies, Fashion houses, Studios etc. as directly entering the small screen might be difficult and also, modeling might provide you the right platform to show your talent. Few qualities that a good actor should posses are, A photogenic Face, good looks, good height, attractive voice, an appealing attitude etc. If you have all this, then all you need to do is to learn how to play around with emotions. If you are able to get the right emotion on your face at the right time, then you would surely be on the screen. In order to enhance these skills, I would advice you to join a good acting school. The majority of companies like Cognizant, L&T, TCS, WIPRO etc give following conditions to TPO for issue of admit card to appear for campus drive:-
1. 60,60,60 in 10th, 12th and B.Tech. upto 6th sem. (marks of all 6 sem divided by 6)
2. Not more than 1 year gap in studies.
3. No backlog at the time of campus placement.
If you qualify on above criteria, you will be allowed to sit in the On-line or paper based test. Usually it will have 55 questions to be solved in 60 minutes. Thew paper will have three sections viz. aptitude & logical section, verbal section and non-verbal sections.
For passing this test normally cut off is 30%. Afterwards, there will be technical and HR rounds of PI. Again, usually GD rounds are not held by most companies. It is only held if:
1. Number of candidates, passing written test is too large or
2. They still have vacancies and want to select further lot out of rejected.
