Generally after doing a Bachelor's degree in psychology you can work as a counselor in Schools and colleges or can work with social welfare organizations, community health centers, and vocational rehabilitation and as administrative assistants. However, to get into a specific specialization in Psychology like clinical, Industrial, Social etc. you need to get into a Masters level programme. So depending on what are your career aspirations you can pursue a degree in Psychology.
As far as the scope of this degree is concerned the work of a professional psychologist is highly remunerative. Earnings depend on qualification, area of specialisation and experience. The highest- paying position is for psychologists having M.Phil and Ph.D degree. Remunerations in the corporate sector are the highest, though salaries vary according to the level of involvement and the job profile.

To pursue PhD you need to first prepare your research proposal and send it to the university. The research proposal must include a summary of the proposal and then the proposal in detail. You need to write the topic, reason for doing research, how the research will be beneficial to the community and the university, what is the different thing you are doing that hasn't been undertaken earlier. Also, include how you will progress during the research and the duration you might need to achieve the milestones you have set. If the university accepts your proposal you will be asked to send in your documents after which you will get the offer letter. Then meeting all the requirements you can begin with the visa process. To approach a University you must contact the dean or the professor at the University and ask them if there is any research going on. Because its always not mentioned on the University's website whether the research in your field of interest is going on or not.
As suggested by Dr. Krishna Katti there is no separate college for MPhil or PhD.
In Singapore there are only 3 local national universities namely National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University.
